Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Answr Labs Inc. (“Answr,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our AI receptionist services, websites, and applications.

Answr is a business-facing service. The “user” is the small business that subscribes to Answr. “Callers” are people who contact our users’ phone numbers and interact with the AI receptionist.

We collect three kinds of information:

• From users: name, email, business details, payment method (via Stripe), OAuth tokens for connected calendars (encrypted at rest).
• From callers: phone number, call audio and transcript, SMS content, name and address if they volunteer it.
• Automatically: standard web telemetry (IP, user agent, pages visited) via PostHog and Plausible.

Every call handled by Answr begins with a recording disclosure: “This call may be recorded for quality purposes”; which satisfies two-party consent requirements in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Washington.

Recordings are encrypted at rest. Retention depends on the subscriber’s plan (7 days on Free, unlimited on Pro and Ultra, subject to account deletion).

We use personal information to provide the service (route calls, generate transcripts and summaries, book appointments, send confirmations), bill subscribers, secure our systems, and improve the product in aggregate.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use caller audio to train general-purpose AI models.

We share data with service providers we need to operate:

• Twilio and Retell AI; telephony and voice infrastructure.
• Our AI/LLM provider; for agent reasoning and call summarization.
• Google, Microsoft, Calendly, Acuity; calendar integrations you explicitly connect.
• Stripe; payment processing for user subscriptions.
• Supabase, Railway, Vercel; hosting and data infrastructure.

Callers may consent, by voice during a call, to receive SMS confirmations and updates about the request they initiated. Consent is optional and is never a condition of booking or receiving service. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Full details are in our SMS Consent and Opt-In Policy.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are used only to deliver the messages the caller asked for, and are shared solely with the messaging providers needed to send them. Numbers are never purchased, rented, imported, or obtained from third parties.

Depending on jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, and similar), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Email privacy@tryanswr.com to exercise these rights. We respond within 30 days.
