SMS Consent and Opt-In Policy
Answr Labs Inc. — Script version v1-2026-07-17 — Effective July 17, 2026
How consent is collected
Answr provides AI-powered call answering for service businesses. When a consumer calls a business that uses Answr, our virtual receptionist answers on that business’s behalf. Text messages are sent only to consumers who verbally agree to receive them during that call.
Before any phone number is stored for messaging, the receptionist asks:
Would you like me to text you a confirmation and updates about this at this number? Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out.
Consent is optional and is never a condition of booking an appointment or receiving service. If the caller declines, is unsure, or does not respond, no message is sent.
What we send
Confirmations and updates about the request the consumer initiated on the call. No marketing or promotional messages are sent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Sample message:
Answr: Thanks for calling [REAL_BUSINESS_NAME]. Your appointment is confirmed for Fri Jul 24 at 10:00 AM. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.

How consent is recorded
Each affirmative response is time-stamped and stored against the call record with the caller’s exact words and the version of the script they heard. Call recordings and transcripts are retained. Consent records are append-only and are never edited after the fact.

Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to opt out immediately. Reply HELP for help. Opt-outs are recorded against the consumer’s number and honored for all future messages from that business.
Numbers are never purchased, rented, imported, or obtained from third parties.
